As London Fashion Week has come to a close, lets recap on some of my favourite looks and the latest trends for Autumn-Winter 2014.
Felder Felder – A/W ’14
This first look is my absolute favourite, I adore the clash of textures – leather, fur, suede. All these pieces are so versatile and could definitely be included in anyones staple wardrobe. Whoever said black and navy should never be seen together? So chic!
The second look from Felder Felder reminded me of Kendall Jenner on the Marc Jacobs runway in New York last week…. Although she did look amazing and has certainly established herself as a serious model, lets hope the sheer blouse she donned alone doesn’t become a serious trend for the highstreet…
However, pair this shirt with a camisole and you have a perfect day-to-night look with the easy switch of shoes!
Tom Ford – A/W ’14
Looks like little fur jackets are going nowhere any time soon, faux fur of course. I love this jewel toned jacket from the Tom Ford runway show. A mixture of textures was a recurring trend on the catwalk, as we saw with Felder Felder above aswell. I love it because it makes a simple basic outfit stand out immediately, a hint of leather/sequins/faux fur can make a huge statement.
Alberta Feretti – A/W ’14
Lately, Alberta Ferretti can do no wrong for me. The entire collection for Autumn/Winter is amazing, and very transitional also into Spring/Summer with the pop of bright colours – Yellows, Greens, Blues. The masculine shape coat has had a twist on it with the hues of bright blue and green, making it more feminine. Check out Topshop for their highstreet versions of this “cocoon coat”.
Overall, London Fashion week was all about making a basic look stand out with either a pop of colour or interesting material. Easy to recreate, right?
